In January 2009, I began running as a means to get off the couch, get outside, and stay healthy (and by that I really mean finding something to entertain me other than beer and sports on the weekends). During my first run, I couldn't make it a mile without stopping. I freaking hated running. I hated everything about it...the pain, the sweat, the blisters, the chaffing, the unbearable Florida heat...
However, with the help of my family, friends, and competitive spirit I finished my first marathon one year, and five lost toenails later.
Now I'm hooked. I love running. I love everything about running. And I'm continuing by "running away" to destination races all over the US and all over the globe. Stay tuned for my trials, tribulations, mostly useless advice, and shenanigans.
